On the 8th of February, we will be able to witness the 8th edition of the International Athletics Meeting PEDRO'S CUP that will be held at the sports hall "Łuczniczka" . The competition will take place in the three most popular in recent years track and field events in our country: women's pole vault, men's pole vault and men's shot put.

In terms of audience Pedro's Cup is one of the best performance in the world of athletics. Moreover, Pedro's Cup is one of the best sport event in the world in its category.

The men's pole vault will be introduced for the first time in Bydgoszcz. We will have an opportunity to see the World Champion Paweł Wojciechowski, and the forth jumper Łukasz Michalski. They both come from Bydgoszcz and are coached by Włodzimierz Michalski at Zawisza Sports Complex. Furthermore, we will see the World Vice Champion from Daegu - Cuban Lazaro Borges, Karsten Dill from Germany and Jurij Łukanienko from Russia.

In the women's pole vault competition we will see Polish athletes: Anna Rogowska and Monika Pyrek, as well as the Beijing bronze medalist Svetlana Fieofanova and the owner of the best result of this year in the hall (4.87 m), Holly Bleasdale from the UK.

The shot put will bring a lot of excitement due to the Olympic Champion Tomasz Majewski (Beijing 2008) with a coalition of two Americans - Champions of the World: Christian Cantwell and Ress Hoff and the bronze medalist from Berlin Ralf Bartels.
