Several bicycle routes going through Bydgoszcz pass the main tourist attractions in the region. Mainly, they go on less frequented roads, so they are available for various forms of cycling. Below, there is a brief description as well as the links to wirtualneszlaki.pl

Towards the Norh of Bydgoszcz, there is Zalew Koronowski and Bory Tucholskie. The blue cycling path 'Szlak Brdy' goes through those areas - http://wirtualneszlaki.pl/szlaki-rowerowe/bydgoszcz-chojnice-szlak-rowerowy-niebieski-by-6001n. This route leads through Koronowo ( it is worth to see The Cistercian Monestary), Tuchola (renovated Old Town) and ends in Chojnice. Three routes go around the Lower Vistula Valley that is very attractive in terms of landscape and cultural heritage: - black cycle path - 'Po Dolinie Dolnej Wisły'http://wirtualneszlaki.pl/szlaki-rowerowe/po-dolinie-dolnej-wisly-szlak-rowerowy-czarny - green cycle path - 'Dookoła Doliny Dolnej Wisły' http://wirtualneszlaki.pl/szlaki-rowerowe/dookola-doliny-dolnej-wisly-szlak-rowerowy-zielony - Euro Route R1 - http://wirtualneszlaki.pl/szlaki-rowerowe/euro-route-r1-odcinek-w-wojewodztwie-kujawsko-pomorskim-szlak-rowerowy-zielony The first two of them make a loop on both sides of the Vistula, and have fairly similar course. The route turns back toward the green in Chełmno (a very interesting medieval buildings) and Swiecie (remains of the castle of the Teutonic Knights). The black route continues up to Tczew via Grudziądz (historic center and the distinctive panorama of the Vistula granaries) and Nowe (remains of the castle). While the Euro Route R1 is a trans-route from France to Russia. It leads from the Lower Vistula Valley through The Upland of Świecie and follows via Chełmno and Grudziądz further north. Bydgoszcz and Toruń (the second capital of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship with the historical old Town - UNESCO heritage) is connected by the blue cycle path -'Przyjaźni'http://wirtualneszlaki.pl/szlaki-rowerowe/bydgoszcz-torun-szlak-rowerowy-niebieski.It runs mostly through quiet gravel roads towards north of Route No. 60. Then, we stop at the historic palace and park in Ostromecko and Skludzewo. Between Bydgoszcz and Nakło, there is a blue cycle path. http://wirtualneszlaki.pl/szlaki-rowerowe/bydgoszcz-naklo-szlak-rowerowy-niebieski.It leads via busy route running parallel to the Bydgoszcz Canal. The most interesting object in this pathway is the palace in Potulice and along the Old Canal Bydgoszcz in Bydgoszcz. The short red cycle path http://wirtualneszlaki.pl/szlaki-rowerowe/bydgoszcz-myslecinek-bydgoszcz-fordon-szlak-rowerowy-czerwony , connects Fordon District with the Forest Park of Culture and Leisure Myślęcinek and allows to avoid the busy roads. |
