  • Saint Peter and Saint Paul Apostles Church, Bydgoszcz, fot. J.Zasada

    Saint Peter and Saint Paul Apostles Church built in years 1872 – 1878 in neo-gothic style with eclectic and Roman elements. A dome with an octagonal base and slender tower with a spire are characteristic elements of this church.

    Main Post Office is one of the most spectacular buildings located on the Brda river bank. It was built at the end of the 19th century in the so-called Prussian national style. Until today the building is occupied by the post office, open 24-hours.

    Sielanka District – the garden city of Bydgoszcz is a very green residential area, designed at the beginning of the 20th century by Joseph Stüben.

    The Copernicanum Hall was built between 1903-1906, according to the design of Berlin architects Carl Zaar and Rudolf Vahl. It used to be the site of the municipal junior high school of sciences, the railway technical school and even the military hospital during Hitler's occupation.

    August Cieszkowski Street is considered one of the most beautiful streets in Bydgoszcz, thanks to homogenous complex of buildings built in years 1896-1904. Secession style houses decorated with eclectic, neo-baroque and neo-gothic elements were designed by renowned architects e.g.: Józef Święcicki, Fritz Weidner and Karl Bergner.

    Saint Andrew Bobola Church was built at the beginning of the 20th century and until 1945, served the Evangelical community. After the agreement with the Augsburg church it was claimed by the Catholic church.

    Covered Market was built in 1904, in neogothic-modernist style, designed by the architecture company Boswau and Knauer GmbH of Berlin. The main entrance with two towers and the city coat of arms is highly interesting.

    During eleven editions of the festival, syncopated music lovers have had an opportunity to listen to internationally renowned jazz stars as well as Polish and regional artists. This year's festival will be held October 24 - November 1.

    The Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz is the largest and most important art gallery in Bydgoszcz, established in 1949 (until 2005 known as Biuro Wystaw Artystycznych). The present building of the Gallery was founded in 1970.

  • Route 1:
    On the Old Bydgoszcz Canal
    Time: 1 hour, distance: 3.5 km
    We start our tour in the Old Market Square, at the Bydgoszcz Information Centre, where we can hire a bicycle. We head to the Mill Island by Niedźwiedzia Street.

    In Bydgoszcz, the first gardens were established in monasteries and suburbs, where they were owned by affluent townsmen.

    The industrial route is an encounter with the old times of former glory, relics of those parts of the city that were setting its rhythm, which used to sound with the clatter of tools and the whirr of machines.

  • On August 3 Bydgoszcz will meet the winner of the first stage of this year’s Tour the Pologne. The race, which is among the major cycling events in the world, is returning to the city, and it’s going to be in its finest.

  • Tunel Aerodynamiczny Maxfly

     

    The aerodynamic MaxFly tunnel is a recreation and education-oriented development.  This incredible  device is for people who have already mastered falling in the air, as well as for those who are not very experienced in parachuting and so far have done it just a few times.

  • The Bydgoszcz Aeroklub (eng. flying club) has been in existence since 1946. Its main goal is to promote and develop the Polish aviation as well as organise various kinds of flights over the city and parachute jumps.

  • The Racing Kamat kart circuit is one of the longest indoors race tracks in the region. It measures 500 metres, which is indeed challenging to all go-karting enthusiasts. Racing Kamat has its own time measuring system designed by a Dutch company AMB.

  • Location-based game is the best way to integrate a group of people working togeter, motivate them to accomplish a given task, and stimulate their creativity (in an alcohol-free way – contrary to the game’s title).
