We invite you to the opening gala of the 6th edition of the Old Film Festival Bydgoszcz 2026. The gala’s special guest will be the distinguished Polish production designer and Oscar winner — Allan Starski, who on November 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., will receive the festival’s top award—the Golden Frame—for his lifetime achievement in film.

The ceremony will take place at the new campus of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz at 3 Godziszewskiego Street.

The festival is organized by the HEROLD Concert Office, which also funds the main award; the main patrons are the Local Government of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province—as patron—and Adria-Art.

The discussion with Allan Starski will be moderated by Jerzy Armata—a film journalist from the monthly magazine KINO, the festival’s media patron.

In honor of the Old Film Festival laureate, leading Polish musical artists Anna Federowicz and Łukasz Lenart will perform a recital titled “Starscy Panowie Dwaj.” We’ll hear, among other songs, those written by Ludwik Starski—Allan’s father.

Magdalena Świeżawska will host the gala.
