Rafał Kołacki—sound artist, musician, researcher, and curator—will present an exhibition rooted in his fascination with sound as a trace of place, memory, and human experience. He works at the intersection of sound art, experimental music, field recording, and site-specific art, treating listening as a tool for exploring the world.

In his installations, performances, and research projects, Kołacki records the acoustic traces of places and infrastructure, the sounds of the natural environment, and human voices. He uses, among other things, hydrophones, contact microphones, and proprietary listening systems. For him, sound becomes not only musical material, but also a document, a memory, and a testimony to change.

In projects such as “Echo Grało,” “ITO,” and “Skowyt,” he has explored themes including acoustic landscapes, migration, memory, homelessness, and social exclusion. His works have been presented at events such as Unsound, CTM, and MUTEK. He is also a co-founder of the projects HATI, Łubin, and B_U_K, as well as the founder of Noisen Records.
