“Phantom Pains” is Dominika Feiglewicz-Penarska’s first monodrama, based on the true story of Magdalena Sipowicz, who survived the 2012 train crash near Szczekociny as a passenger. As a result of this tragic accident, Magdalena suffered serious injuries, and her right leg was amputated. Based on many hours of conversations with Magdalena, Paweł Feiglewicz-Penarski wrote a script about pain that cannot be seen. About a body that remembers. About a soul that journeys. About understanding and finding oneself.

Magdalena is a sign language interpreter, crisis counselor, and motivational speaker—a bridge between people, their emotions, and their stories. Now, her own personal story becomes a voice on stage. The voice of a woman who has been through a lot and dared to speak about what is usually left unsaid.

The performance was created as part of the OFF Polska program organized by the Zbigniew Raszewski Theater Institute. Co-funded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

Running time: 75 minutes, no intermission | Performance with English subtitles

| 6:00 p.m. – performance with audio description and English subtitles
| 8:30 p.m. – performance with translation into Polish Sign Language (PJM) and Polish subtitles
