The "Bydgoszcz Sound Festival" will continue and expand upon the long-standing tradition of the Summer Concerts at Bydgoszcz Cathedral, ultimately evolving into a year-round event. The Festival’s concept is to bring together renowned artists and representatives of Bydgoszcz’s music community, as well as outstanding instrumentalists and creators from all over Poland. The Festival will also include regular All Souls’ Day events: All Souls’ Day in Antoni and the All Souls’ Day Concert at the Church of the Holy Cross.

The festival will be free and open to the public. Organized in collaboration with local institutions, it will establish a permanent cultural offering for the city and strengthen Bydgoszcz’s identity as a creative hub aligned with the principles of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

The festival is organized by the Andrzej Szwalbe Heritage Association, and the festival’s artistic director is the association’s president, Paweł Pawłowicz.

The Festival’s guiding principle is Andrzej Szwalbe’s idea: understanding culture as a common good, building a strong musical identity for Bydgoszcz, and integrating artistic communities around ambitious and long-term projects.
