Marcin Kydryński is one of the most distinctive and versatile figures in Polish culture. A radio host with an iconic voice, a traveler, a photographer, a music producer, and the author of bestselling books. For years, he helped shape the sound of Radio Trójka and was the creator of the legendary program Siesta — today, his original show Pora Siesty on Radio Nowy Świat attracts a large and loyal following. For decades, the journalist has been introducing Poles to world culture and music, particularly from the Lusophone, African, and Latin American spheres. He is also a renowned photographer whose work has been exhibited in many galleries, and *National Geographic* has honored him for his contribution to the promotion of photojournalism. Kydryński’s latest book, Oda, is an intimate and moving story about Ethiopia. It also serves as the grand finale of his monumental African Trilogy. It is a literary and photographic farewell to the continent that shaped his sensibility.

This is not just an ordinary book signing or a traditional concert. It is a synergy of top-tier literature, world-class photography, and live ethnic music. The event guarantees the audience a unique cultural experience that will remain in their memories for a long time. The event has been designed as a cohesive, two-part spectacle that will allow the audience to experience Africa with all their senses. Part I: author talk and photography exhibition. Part II: concert At the Crossroads of Cultures. The second part of the evening is an unprecedented event. Outstanding artists from three different corners of Africa will come together on stage: Becky Sangolo (Kenya), Ablaye Badji (Senegal), and Ethan Smith (South Africa). The project was created specifically for this unique artistic event. The audience will witness the birth of a completely new energy. Through subtle, acoustic sounds, these three virtuosos will create a mystical bridge between their countries—between tradition and modernity—transporting listeners straight to the boundless African savannas.

Tickets: 99 PLN, available: in person—MCK box office, 12–14 Marcinkowskiego St., online: Biletyna.pl
