Join us for the premiere of Tymon Czarnecki’s debut poetry collection, *The Cheeky Tailcoat of Fulfillment*, combined with a guitar recital.

Hosted by: Alicja Dużyk

*Bezczelny surdut spełnienia* reads like a diary of emotions written not so much “about” love, longing, or loneliness, but rather “from within” these states. It is poetry of intense experience, based more on association, emotional rhythm, and imagery than on classical narrative or a punchline. “I write straight from the depths of my soul… The text sounds like a record of movement frozen precisely at the moment of greatest tension—as if every word were trying to make a gesture, but something were constantly preventing it from reaching its full flight. I describe my poems as the result of so-called ‘flashes’ in my mind, which, under the influence of strong impressions, appear regardless of time and place, based on feelings. The poems have a reflective tone and also focus on themes of relationships and the transience of human experiences. “I like to play with oxymorons,” reveals Tymon Czarnecki.

Tymon Czarnecki—born in 1975, a paramedic by profession, a medical simulation instructor, and an academic lecturer by passion. A man with the temperament of an F-16 pilot, an extraordinary personality, and yet a deep sensitivity; he easily connects with everyone. An eccentric romantic with a penchant for creating vivid, metaphorical poetic spaces, open to the beauty of the world.
