"Liternik" Exhibition – An Atlas of Restless Letters

The exhibition presents illustrations created as part of a research project devoted to the letter as a visual medium. Limiting their linguistic function allows us to focus on the shape, proportions, and visual weight of the character. Letters create rhythm, contrasts, and tension, and their interrelationships form the basis of visual communication. The project explores the boundary between a letter’s recognizability and its artistic autonomy. The dynamic compositions reflect the contemporary world, where opportunities for growth and the creation of new connections coexist with threats, divisions, and conflicts. The relationships between the characters express balance, disruption, interaction, and collision. The eponymous atlas is a collection of explorations at the intersection of writing, typography, and illustration. Curated by Monika Grabarek.
