The Power of Letters (14): Teddy Bears (Not Just for the Little Ones)

The teddy bear—it’s been known for a long time that it’s a necessity in life and a major presence in literature, often in very good works. Every year on November 25, we celebrate World

Teddy Bear Day. This holiday is deeply rooted in world history. So let’s read about bears from wonderful books and enjoy activities centered around them together at our next uplifting, cuddly, intimate gathering of young and old with books. You’ll encounter bears, books, and activities from various fields.

The event will be led by Lucyna Brzezinska-Eluszkiewicz from TuCzyTam. Kamienica 12, a Polish language teacher, bibliotherapist, sensory integration therapist, cultural facilitator, and educator, who was honored by the Polish Section of IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) in the 2021 Book of the Year competition in the category of promoting reading. She visits libraries and other cultural institutions throughout Poland with workshops and book-related activities. She is also involved in nationwide initiatives supporting reading.

Recommended age group: children ages 4 to 10, accompanied by their adult guardians (the book is not suitable for younger children). Duration of the session: 1.5 hours. Capacity: max. 8 people.
