A spiderweb instead of a net, pumpkins instead of balls, and ghosts on the obstacle course. On the last weekend of October, the Focus shopping center in Bydgoszcz will transform into a Halloween tennis court. On October 30 and 31, in partnership with the Polonia Tennis Academy, the center invites you to “Scary Fun Tennis with ATP Polonia”—two days of athletic fun for the whole family. Participation in all attractions is free.

As autumn evenings fall quickly, many parents are looking for ways to get their kids away from screens and encourage them to be active. The Halloween event at Focus Shopping Center addresses this need in an accessible way: instead of heading to a tennis court or signing up for classes, all you need to do is come to the mall to try your hand at tennis under the guidance of experienced coaches. You don’t need your own racket or any prior athletic experience. The organizers provide the equipment, and the activities are designed so that both young children and their parents or grandparents can participate. Thanks to this, the sporting competition can become a shared family adventure in Halloween costumes.

The event combines a first introduction to tennis with the Halloween spirit. Coaches from the Polonia Tennis Academy have prepared a series of challenges that test accuracy, dexterity, and reflexes—but above all, they’re all about having fun. Participants will test their precision in the Spider’s Web, tackle the Ghostbusters Halloween obstacle course, and navigate the Vampire Slalom and Relay Race. The most excitement may come from the “Pumpkin on a Racket” contest, where the winner is whoever keeps the ball in the air the longest, and the “Witch’s Spider Cauldron,” where participants must hit the ball into scoring cauldrons. Tennis knowledge will be put to the test in the “Monstrously Difficult Tennis Quiz.”

For those who have never held a racket before, the “First Step in Tennis” zone has been set up. On a mini-court, under the guidance of coaches, you’ll be able to try your first rallies and discover that tennis is a sport accessible to everyone, regardless of age or experience. Prizes await participants in the challenges, including duffel bags, keychains, lanyards, and vouchers for classes at the Polonia Tennis Academy.

After the sporting activities, guests will be able to relax in the “Workshop of Transformations,” a creative Halloween zone. There, they’ll get Halloween face paint and washable tattoos, and the youngest kids will design their own tennis monsters out of balls, take part in art activities, and color themed coloring pages.

“Scary Fun Tennis with ATP Polonia” is an opportunity to spend the extended Halloween weekend in Bydgoszcz actively, combining physical activity, family competition, and a festive atmosphere all in one place.

The event will take place at the Focus shopping center in Bydgoszcz on Friday, October 30, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday, October 31, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Admission is free.
