Podoroж (Podoroż) means “journey” in Ukrainian. The group’s repertoire consists of polyphonic East Slavic melodies from various regions of Ukraine, as well as from Belarus and Podlasie. They perform lyrical songs, ritual songs marking various turning points in life, secular and religious songs, Christmas carols, and psalms. They draw inspiration from their teachers—ethnomusicologists—as well as from archival recordings and traditional, unadulterated performances.

Ensemble members: Amelia Pietroczuk, Ewa Karasińska, Ewa Mysza Starzyk, Andrzej Gołoś Wójciak
