For over 80 years, the legendary Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili” has embodied art, strength of spirit, and boundless energy. The first and original Georgian national dance troupe—The First and The Original—has become a symbol of authentic Georgian culture, unrivaled anywhere in the world.

The Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili” was founded in 1945 by Iliko and Nino Sukhishvili. Today, the troupe is led by the third generation of the family—the founders’ grandchildren. This dynasty has preserved and enriched the traditions, making “Sukhishvili” a symbol of Georgian art and cultural heritage.

A unique program awaits audiences in the United States, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Sweden, the Baltic states, and other countries. It features the best numbers in the troupe’s entire history—the epitome of excellence and supreme artistry, which have become Georgia’s calling card on the world stage.
