The Provincial and Municipal Public Library in Bydgoszcz invites you to a meeting with reporter and photographer Ilona Wiśniewska, titled “Norway Through the Lens of Ilona Wiśniewska.”

Author of the books: “White. The Cold Island of Spitsbergen” (2014), “Hen. In Northern Norway” (2016), “People. From a Greenlandic Island” (2018), “Migot. From the Edge of Greenland” (2022), and “Hjem. On the Northern Islands” (2025). She has also published a collection of children’s stories titled “Friend of the North” (2022). Winner of the Grand Press Award in the “Reportage Book of the Year” category for “Migot. From the Edge of Greenland” and of the Travelery and Crystal Card of Polish Reportage competition—the Lublin Mayor’s Award. Winner of the Golden Owl—an award from the Polish Intellectuals’ Club in Vienna.

Admission upon presentation of tickets (starting November 9, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Main Library Lending Desk, Stary Rynek 24—priority given to members of the Book Discussion Clubs).

The event is organized as part of the Book Discussion Clubs program.
