The clock displays Central European Time and Bydgoszcz Time. Central European Time is the time zone corresponding to solar time at the 15°E meridian. It runs, among other places, through the Stargard region. Central European Time is the most widely used time zone in the European Union.

Bydgoszcz Time, on the other hand, is 12 minutes ahead of Central European Time, in accordance with our geographic location. This is because 1 degree of longitude corresponds to 4 minutes, and the 18th meridian runs right through Bydgoszcz.

The clock is located on the revitalized Old Market Square, along the northern frontage. It crowns the illuminated line of the 18th meridian. The clock features original, unusual hands. They were designed so that when they meet, they form the delicate outline of one of the granaries.
