The Słonecznik and Słonecznik II are eco-friendly vessels that operate on the Brda River in Bydgoszcz. Both are solar-powered—using solar panels—which makes them environmentally friendly.

A cruise on the Słonecznik is one of Bydgoszcz’s favorite and most popular summer tourist attractions. The opportunity to admire the city from a completely different perspective—from the river—attracts more and more tourists and Bydgoszcz residents every year.

Sailing season: May–September

Both cruise routes, Słoneczna and Staromiejska, are served by the electric-powered boats Słonecznik I and Słonecznik II. Each vessel can carry up to 28 passengers. The starting and ending point for all cruises is located at Rybi Rynek.

Tickets are available online and at the Bydgoszcz Information Center. Tickets cannot be purchased on board.

The Słoneczniki operate on two scenic routes:

The Słoneczna Route (Fish Market — Hotel Słoneczny Młyn — Fish Market)
The cruise begins and ends at the Fish Market and lasts approximately 50 minutes. Among other sights, the boat passes by the historic Polish Post Office building, the former site of the Bernardine Order, and the Municipal Gas Works building, located along the TeH2O route. When taking a cruise on this route, you can also see old and new water stations, as well as a complex of sports facilities (HSW Łuczniczka, Torbyd, Artego Arena). The boat turns back toward the Fish Market near the Słoneczny Młyn Hotel.

Old Town Line
The cruise begins and ends at Rybi Rynek and lasts about 80 minutes. The boat passes Bydgoszcz Cathedral, Opera Nova, and Młyńska Island, then sails past the historic trapezoidal lock to pass through the renovated city lock. During the rest of the cruise, the boat will pass the majestic former Railway Administration Building in Bydgoszcz, Queen Jadwiga Bridge, and reach the old railway bridges.

The organizer reserves the right to cancel the cruise for reasons beyond its control, such as: vessel malfunction, adverse weather conditions, closure of the navigation route, and others. In such cases, those who have purchased a ticket will be asked to reschedule the cruise or request a refund.
